About Adam Birchall
With a career that spans more than two decades of leadership for top-tier corporates at the cutting-edge of technology, my specialist expertise lays in international business development, Board-level advisory, and global partnership and alliance building, with a particular focus on Middle East, Africa and US markets.
As a technology expert, panel speaker, thought leader and C-level advisor, I enjoyed a long and successful career with Barclays and Nokia in a variety of leadership roles across Business Development, Insights & Analysis, and Product Management. I was a driving force behind many of the partnerships and alliances that led to the Nokia’s ground-breaking successes on a global scale.
Latterly as a mobile technology consultant across MEA, I delivered the first mobile device portfolio strategy and segmentation model in Oman in support of a major retail launch, and worked with a non-profit South African government-based NFC industry body. Most recently, I have led the development of Barclay’s mobile payment platform into the corporate space, and have successfully secured strategic client acquisitions and partnerships across hospitality and leisure, charity, retail and education sectors.
I have a deep personal and professional interest in world travel and exploration, as well as a passion for timeless elegance, craftsmanship and performance, with a contemporary twist — Alfred Dunhill is my benchmark, Bourdon House is my sanctuary. My other passions include Horology (I am a serious watch geek!), classic cars, photo journalism, 4×4 trekking, and Tottenham Hotspur — a Spurs fan for 37 years and counting!
